Spider-Man has gone global.
Peter Parker has decided that he needs to help the world in a bigger way, not only as a superhero but also as a businessman. However, his new vision might be turn to be more than what he's used to handle, especially once that his old enemies come back for him.
This issue marks yet another new beginning for the character. It seems not too long ago when I talked about the last relaunch of Amazing Spider-Man but fortunately, Dan Slott seems to have a much more promising direction this time.
The writer focuses on story, characterization and big action, and all of those aspects are executed nicely. You can feel the energy and intensity when the issue opens with a big chase scene about Spider-Man going after villains which also plays with the idea of him working on a bigger scale.
The premise about Peter Parker himself being more ambitious is also quite interesting due that he seems to be finally reaching his potential and doing it in a pretty logical way. Is good to know that Slott is not afraid of making fun of his own story though with mentions about the similarities between Peter and Tony Stark now.
There are also some sub-plots being integrated and they're seem to be intriguing so far. Hopefully they will be developed nicely in the future.
Giuseppe Camuncoli is in charge of art and his work is incredible with great looking characters, vibrant action scenes and precise storytelling.
Excellent issue, definitely invested into this now.
