Some thoughts about Transformers #46

Galvatron is ready to take this conflict to the next level and so is Optimus.

After having faced so many terrible events during his life, Optimus feels like he might not be doing enough for the people he has indirectly affected. Now, he will have to decide what's the best for everyone just when things are about to get worse.

I will say this already: I'm loving the current direction.

John Barber offers a new chapter where he pretty much sets-up the next status quo for the franchise which is the storyline All Hail Optimus and does it in a way that prepares all the members from the cast perfectly.

The characterization is pretty solid with Optimus contemplating his recent actions and duty as a Prime while at the same time receiving the advise of people he rarely interacts with. It creates a pretty interesting dynamic, not to mention that we also get to know a few characters that we haven't seen much of before.

Speaking of which, the writer manages to include several characters that he has been working on recently and also progresses their respective storylines. Fortunately, the chapter feels pretty packed with content.

Sara Pitre-Durocher handles the artwork this time and she certainly has a pretty unique style that delivers expressive characters and really detailed storytelling.

Enjoyable issue, hope to see how the events start unfolding.
