What will happen once that Olive finally meets her mother again?
The group has decided to learn more about Olive's mom and her own history with Batman. However, once that they explore Gotham for clues, they will be involved in something more dangerous than they could have imagined.
Let's be honest here, this issue was Maps' show.
Everytime that she appeared on a panel I couldn't help but smile due to how fun she made the whole situation despite of how suspenseful it was. The way how the writers handle her personality is simply lovely and you just have to find her adorable.
In terms of the story, Becky Cloonan and Brenden Fletcher are really delivering the big reveals by exploring about Olive's past and the reason why she became part of Gotham Academy. It manages to give the protagonists (namely Olive and Maps since as usual, the rest of the characters are not so important) pretty good character moments.
Karl Kerschl, Msassyk and Mingjue Helen Chen share art duties this time and for the most part is a solid contribution but the highlights are certainly Kerschl's and Chen's work, especially the latter since she's able to deliver a beautiful flashback scene.
Entertaining issue for sure. Things are getting better here.
