Lois and Clark survived the destruction of their world and they need to begin a new life in a different one.
After the Convergence of worlds, Lois and Clark have found a new home where superheroes just started their careers and they will have to remain hidden if they want to raise their son correctly. However, old enemies might still be present.
Well, I was pretty excited about this issue due that I loved the Convergence miniseries based on these characters and handled by the same creative team but I don't think it worked as well this time.
For one, Dan Jurgens' narration at the beginning can be considered as overexposition due that the characters start telling everything that happened since Convergence which doesn't make sense they already know it. It's a pretty bad case of giving the audience info instead of creating a natural conversation.
The rest of the issue is not so bad since the author gives a logical reason for the family to remain hidden as well as creating a connection between the new versions of the characters and them. Sadly, the issue doesn't offer much in terms of the story aside from that, it's mostly a set-up.
Lee Weeks handles the art and his work is certainly amazing with a precise storytelling and beautiful characters. Everything looks wonderful.
Not as good as I was hoping really. Let's see if things get better in the following chapters.
