Ant-Man is back and he's in a worse place than ever.
Despite of saving his daughter's life, Scott can't help but feeling terribly after putting her in danger and things can only become more problematic for him once that his enemies start coming for revenge.
This series pretty much is a continuation of the Nick Spencer's own work in the character which I covered previously. I was fan of the everyman portrayal that the author came up with and fortunately this series seems to continue the same direction.
Scott is still the same likable man who cares so much for his daughter to the point that he's decided to stay away from her life if that means that she will stay out of trouble. You immediately can sympathize with his current situation and root for his success, especially considering that he keeps failing during this story.
The writing style is also something pretty enjoyable due that all the characters talk in a comedic way for the most part. Speaking of the characters, I love most of them, Scott's employees (Grizzly and Machinesmith) are both so out of place that they're just hilarious and they really bring a new level of entertainment to the plot. The villains are also pretty fun which includes Darren Cross and his awkward relationship with his son.
Oh, and things are not going to get any better for Scott at the end. That's as much as I can tell you.
Ramon Rosanas handles the artwork once again and his work is still perfect for this book due to his clean style that allows to create really detailed characters.
Pretty solid issue, hope that there isn't another quick ending this time though.
