Doomday is approaching.
Reiser is still not able to control his abilities and not even Superman might be able to help him. However, there are bigger matters at hand due that an even bigger monster is coming.
Penultimate chapter from this series and it follows the same formula.
Scott Lobdell continues to develope Reiser as a pretty likable and understandable kid for the most part while also giving enough time to the rest of the characters to shine. His relationship with his best friend who is also forced to fight him because of his powers is nicely depicted and it makes you care for both.
Lobdell also returns to Superman and he actually gets the character as a compassionate and kind guy who is still ready to throw punches if necessary. Despite that his run was not my favorite, Lobdell knows how to portray him.
Javier Fernandez is still handling the artwork and his work remains quite vibrant and kinetic while depicting the action scenes in a pretty intense way.
Solid issue, let's see how the series concludes now.
