Whatever happened to the Teen Titans?
Dick Grayson and several other people can't help but feeling like they have forgotten something, something from early in their lives and they will have to learn it soon since someone is coming for them.
This issue not only represents the beginning of this series but also the beginning of a series of retcons that are going to happen to the continuity. In the first New 52 Teen Titans series it was mentioned that Tim Drake formed the first incarnation of the team (although that was also changed from the beginning because of editorial) and now DC has decided that they want to original group back consisting of Dick Grayson, Donna Troy, Garth, Roy Harper and... Mal Duncan? (Sorry, no Wally West).
Dan Abnett handles the story and is told is a decent way. The writing itself is not particularly impressive but at the very least the characters act the way that you would expect, their portrayals are serviceable while the story tries to play with a mystery about their previous lives.
The problem is that such mystery is not really presented in an interesting enough way to make you invested in it and the plot still hasn't revealed anything new aside from what we already now from the premise of this title. Not a lot of surprises sadly which also makes the issue feel kinda short.
Paulo Siqueira is in charge of art duties and his work is beautiful with good looking character models and precise storytelling skills.
I'm not really impressed with this so far but let's see how it continues.
