The Suicide Squad continues to be at its worst.
Deadshot still complaints about the pain of his injuries, Harley continues to feel bad about being a murderer and Amanda Waller has to deal with all of that.
Once again, this little summary describes everything that is wrong with this chapter.
One would think that Sean Ryan would try to make some progress on these characters at this point to stop them from getting more useless or whiny but alas, that is not happening here. Deadshot still whines constantly about his pain while Harley still feels emo about her actions. I understand the point of breaking the characters to make them better but a story should actually makes you root for them not getting tired of their whole attitude.
The story is not particularly impressive either since is pretty much the team going after a derivative drug dealer who handles toxins that make people metahuman. It doesn't have a real point or theme.
I'm going to say this again though: I do enjoy Captain Boomerang everyman-ish portrayal.
Philippe Briones is still in charge of the art and his work continues to be solid with some decent character models and action scenes.
Not good sadly, we need a change urgently.
