A story suited in the past that has an important connection to Loki's future.
In one of the many less celebrated moments from his past, Loki traveled along with the prince of Asgard and continued to trick everybody else as he was used to but this time by killing a strange being, he unleashed a series of events that were carefully planned to serve a purpose in the years to come, one that may affect negatively his present self.
Another satisfying read from this creative team and it was a self-contained one to boot.
Al Ewing developes a story focused on the past incarnation of Loki, the same one who is currently planning against the current one, and how he used the people around him for his own gain. The tale is excellently written with a lot of witty and profound moments here and there. I especially like how Ewing manages to create an enjoyable stand-alone story that also connects to the ongoing plot.
Lee Garbett continues to deliver some of the best work in his career by creating some really beautiful scenarios and characters while telling the story quite adequately based on the script.
Wonderful issue, this team is on a roll.
