The new Ms. Marvel is trying her best to gain control of her new powers, it won't be easy.
Kamala has to deal with all the typical problems from a teenage girl like being grounded, getting into trouble at school and of course, her strange shape-shifting abilities. This new set of skills may prove to be something very useful, especially if she wants to make her dream true about becoming a superheroine but it doesn't mean that it will be safe since one of her first missions may be her last.
I'm ready to say it: This is my favorite Marvel book so far, its' simply charming in every conceivable way.
G. Willow Wilson continues to do a fantastic job at portraying Kamala as an innocent, geeky and lovable girl that is reacting quite naturally based on her new gained abilities. It's also necessary to mention how excellent is the depiction of her teenage problems along with the segments dedicated to her culture, nothing feels forced and it's great to see more of it.
And the final page was quite the shock, hope that everything turns out okay.
Adrian Alphona continues on art duties and thank God for that since he provides a huge aspect to this title's quality with his expressive, distinctive and beautiful style. It's the perfect look for this kind of series.
One of my favorite reads from this week, can't get enough of this title.
