Some thoughts about Green Lantern Corps #30

The history of the Durlans is finally revealed.

Von Daggle has finally joined the Green Lantern Corps and he's willing to cooperate by telling the reason why the Durlans hate them so much and some of their most important strength and weaknesses which hopefully will prove to be useful to the war that it's about to come.

Another nice issue from Van Jensen. The author this time focuses on the secret origin of this race of shapeshifters and their motivations that made them want to destroy the Corps which are kinda understandable considering the situation they had to endure.

The character work continues to be strong thanks to really good narration that helps to express each character's personality in a pretty natural way. Plus, it's good to see that the relationship between John and Yrra is growing.

Scott Kolins and Chris Batista replace Bernard Chang on art duties in this issue and their work is quite consistent. Kolins handles the flashback segments with the Durlans that fit his style better and Batista is in charge of the Corps most personal moments.

Overall, another satisfactory issue and sets the stage pretty well for the upcoming crossover.
