Not even the Shadow Cabinet is able to keep this team down.
After being trapped in another dimension and replaced by another team from an alternate reality, the original members from Stormwatch are back and they will have to do what they do best, demonstrate any threat that wants to attack that they have no chance against them.
Isn't it funny and sad when a title finally lives to its potential when it's already ending?
This is the last issue from a series that unfortunately never managed to be what it was supposed to be, not even when it was written by great authors like Paul Cornell and Peter Milligan, Jim Starlin tried to do something different but it wasn't as interesting as someone would have wanted, so how does the writer of this issue, Steling Gates, fares?
He actually delivers the most entertaining story that I have read in this title. Gates appropiately focuses on the strongest points of this characters based on the portrayals they used to have in The Authority while giving the spotlight especially to Jenny Quantum who brings a really good perspective about herself and the rest of the team. Not to mention that these characters are finally being presented as competent as they're supposed to be.
Jeremy Roberts is in charge of art and his work is pretty good for the most part, he has a quite similar style to Jim Lee's and it has most of his strenghts too. It's pretty satisfactory overall.
Sterling Gates should have been the writer of this series since the beginning, if only the rest of the series would have been as good as this issue.
