Some thoughts about Batman Eternal #2

Commissioner Gordon has caused the death of a lot of people, but is he really the true culprit of such act?

The rest of the Bat-family have just realized what it's happening in Gotham City while the citizens are trying to investigate what really happened in these events. Batman knows who might be behind this, one of the most dangerous persons from Gotham's past is back.

Second issue of this weekly series and I must admit that I'm enjoying this series much mroe that initially expected, I would say that this was an even better issue than the previous one.

The authors in charge of the story really know how to create an intriguing mystery while developing carefully every moment to deliver some interesting pieces of information about the plot and each action scene is there for a reason. Speaking about the action, this title truly feels like an event book where big and game-changing points are being explored, it's a pretty compelling read.

My favorite aspect of this issue however, is the worldbuilding. We not only see how the members of the Bat-family react to the current events but also we explore a lot of the city's classic scenes like Gotham Gazette, Arkham Asylum that provide little hints about the future and even some supernatural figures from the DCU.

Jason Fabok continues on art and I'm surprised about how consistently great his work is. His characters are beautiful and his details are quite clear. Not to mention that he has a great ability to make every big moment bigger.

Better chapter than the last one, I'm sold on this story.
