After his treacherous actions, John Constantine has lost the right to be the leader or even part of the team so it's up to Zatanna to get the reigns of the group and try to learn more about them. She will have to since Nightmare Nurse is suffering from some strange effects in the House of Mystery.
Well, I suppose that most people were wondering what would this title become after suffering for so long due to the Forever Evil: Blight crossover and I'm happy to say that the direction seems pretty on-point now.
J.M. DeMatteis focuses in the character work for all of this team and I must say that it's a quite good one. After being relegated for so many issues, Zatanna is finally taking an important role in the team while Constantine remains flawed as ever but still shows some interesting levels of depth, Deadman continues to be the heart and soul of the team and I'm glad that he's still part of it.
Andres Guinaldo replaces Mikel Janin on pencils and while his style is quite different from Janin's, is still pretty competent. His characters are expressive and look quite good in some scenes while his storytelling techniques are pretty clear.
Satisfying issue and it makes me actually invested on the new direction.
