The Metal Men have joined Cyborg into a final strike to his cold counterpart, Grid.
Victor has learned the secret about how the Metal Men are able to have feelings just like humans and that's exactly what Grid is looking for. The battle between the man and the machine is here and Victor will have to accept some aspects of himself if he wants to survive.
The last chapter of the Forever Evil tie-ins in Justice League and I must say that Geoff Johns has done a surprisingly entertaining job from the event.
All these issues have showcased Johns' ability to create impressive worldbuilding, great characterization and excellent reimaginations of properties and while this issue focuses mostly in the character work segments, it's still one that's incredibly satisfying. Cyborg has been finally receiving his well-deserved development in this series and this chapter is the culmination of it, we finally see how Victor accepts some facts about himself that he can't change and now he's willing to exploit them. The conflict between him was perfectly handled and the end is a quite aproppriate one for both characters.
Doug Mahnke replaces Ivan Reis on pencils and while I'm a fan of Mahnke's work, it seemed a bit rushed here, especially based on his character faces. However, he still was able to tell the story clearly and the action scenes were pretty impressive.
Great conclusion for this arc in Justice League and it leads directly into the final issue of Forever Evil.
