Some thoughts about Batman/Superman #9

The World's Finest from two earths will have to work together if they want to survive Gamorra's forces.

Superman and Batman are starting to remember their previous encounters with their counterparts of Earth 2 thanks to Power Girl and Huntress' words and now they're starting to understand why they want to return home so much. Their wish may come true though since they have finally found the portal that could take them to their own universe.

"First Contact" part 3. Yes, it's part 3 despite of what the previous issue of Worlds' Finest said. This crossover has not worked as well as they expected since the ramifications of this issue were already told last month in another title so this issue doesn't offer that many surprises.

Still, it's a decent issue and Greg Pak does a good job at portraying all of these characters and demonstrating waht made them different from each other while also showcasing some good action scenes.

Jae Lee returns to do the art and while his work continues to be beautiful, I'm starting to think that he's not the right fit for this series, not only because of the delays but because his style doesn't work as well for superhero comics, it's a bit too dark compared to how the characters are depicted in the other titles from the crossover.

Solid issue I would say, but don't expect more than that. The delay has certainly hurt its momentum.
