Some thoughts about Avengers Undercover #2

The survivors of Murder World are coming to the underworld to save Bloodstone. However, the plan might not go just like they initially conceived it.

Arcade's bar is filled with some of the most dangerous supervillains in the world and the kids will soon learn that the person that they came to save might not be willing to leave since he seems to have much bigger plans for all of them.

Who would have imagined that supervillains could be so nice?

This is the second issue of this new series written by Dennis Hopeless and it's quite better from the first one. While the opening issue focused on the ramifications of Avengers Arena to these characters, the current one concentrates in the actual premise of this cast going undercover and it's pretty understandable considering the situation in which they are, most of them have finally found people that don't judge them after the terrible events they endured, is just that they're criminals.

Plus, the characterization is great, this is certainly helped by Hopeless' natural dialogue and the interaction between all the heroes and villains who appear here and they're developed in pretty natural way, it's really the next step of development for these kids.

Kev Walker continues as the ongoing artist and his work keeps being quite appealing. His artwork tells the story perfectly, his ability to make expressive characters certainly contributed to that, it's a really attractive style.

Great issue and a nice improvement over the first one. Hope that following issues continue this trend.
