Some thoughts about Wonder Woman #30

The Amazons are back to life but are they willing to help Wonder Woman on her quest?

Queen Hypolita is strangely still affected by the curse of Hera and Diana has suddenly become the new Amazon Queen, that doesn't mean that the others will forget everything and start following her though. Meanwhile, the menace of the First Born keeps increasing since he's destroying each member from the Gods of Olympus one by one.

Another great chapter from a story that keeps becoming better and better in quality. Brian Azzarello's early issues from this storyarc were a bit slow but since the last couple he has been certainly increasing the pacing and excitement on the plot.

This time we see some pretty interesting conflict inside of Paradise Island that are presented in a natural way considering what happened at the beginning of this series, Diana is not accepted automatically as a queen and that's logical based on how her sisters used to treat her. The character work is pretty good too, you can witness how every member from the cast has grown since the beginning and it's good to see how all this development has paid-off.

Goran Sudzuka is replacing Cliff Chiang and his work is quite appropriate based on the style cemented by Chiang. Some of the scenes look pretty good and tell the story adequately but his characters are unfortunately not as good looking.

This issue has pretty much conserved the place of this series in my pull list after being in doubt for a while. Is that good.
