Nothing seems to be able to stop Superman's rage, but maybe one of the most powerful beings on Earth 2 can.
After being defeated by both Steppenwolf and Superman, Alan Scott is back to life thanks to the power of the green energy from the world. Meanwhile, Lois is trying to teach Val how to handle his powers but it will have to be a quick lesson since Superman has finally found them.
Okay, let's get this out of the way, Alan just appears in a few pages early in the issue so the cover is almost a lie.
Second, this issue focuses on Lois and Val and how their relationship keeps becoming stronger, the character moments are well executed but that story doesn't progress that much.
And of course, he appears a lot on this issue too.
Yeah, I have been complaining about the emphasize of Superman in this title for a while and while it may be a bit annoying it bears repeating: Superman is taking way too much of the spotlight in this series and even the characters that have the most moments in this issue are connected to him. I think we're seeing a trend here.
I was honestly expecting to start seeing Alan Scott kicking ass finally but I guess I will have to keep waiting. Well, what can you do?
Nicola Scott continues to bring a really special work in pencils by capturing the images of all of these characters perfectly and despite that it was short, it was good to see her drawing Alan Scott again.
Solid issue again but this story needs to start focusing on other members from the cast.
cant argue with that. i know more than a few folks are disappointed about how little time GL,Flash and Hawkgirl have gotten lately.
ResponderBorrarYeah, I have been commenting a lot about that in online forums and Twitter. Taylor has focused so much in Superman that he has forgotten about the other heroes from Earth 2.
BorrarIt's sad because I really love this title and its characters but the current direction is a complete disappointment so far.
Thanks for the comment by the way.
