Some thoughts about Elektra #1

One of the world's deadliest assassins is back

Elektra Natchios's life has not been easy, her lovers have been her rivals in occasions, her loved ones have been murdered and she has even died a some point, the kind of life that a hired killer has. However, now she will have to deal with a mission that has a lot in common with one person that caused a lot of damage to her life.

The first issue from this new series featuring the popular assassin created by Frank Miller in Daredevil, thanks to wonderful stories and characterization, Elektra instantly became one of the most prominent female characters in the Marvel universe, does this new title does justice to her fame?

That guaranteed, this is one of the strongest series from the All New Marvel Now campaign. W. Haden Blackman who was previously famous for her work in Batwoman for DC Comics, knows how to portray a stronge female character by making her her own person without her bonds with Daredevil. The characterization is pretty strong and the way how she deals with the events of her life is quite accurate.

Half of the credit (or even more) for the quality of this issue belongs to artist Michael Del Mundo who creates one of the most distinctive styles I have seen in a while. The details are incredible, especially how the blood mixes with Elektra's costume and the storytelling craft is pretty on-point.

Quite good first issue for this creative team, both writing and art work perfectly.
