Some thoughts about Batwoman #30

Batwoman is trapped in Arkham Asylum along with some of its most dangerous inmates, will she be able to escape'

The Wolf Spider continues his chase for some of the most precious paintings in Gotham City while Kate tries desperately to find his next target and apparently both have found where the place where they need to go is.

Marc Andreyko certainly gets the voice of all these characters including Kate, Maggie, Bette and some other members from the cast. I especially love how he brings aspects from Kate's past into this storyline that seem to fit naturally and the character development that he has been creating, it was great to see a plot-point that involves Maggie that will most certainly bring interesting stories in the future.

However, I don't feel that the story is really moving. This issue had a decent amount of content but the mystery is not a truly impressive one, sure, Andreyko compensates this with really strong character work but it's still a detail that doesn't grab me.

Jeremy Haun comes back to draw the full issue and I'm happy to have him once again. His characters are beautiful, he depicts the story perfectly and his style bring an unique tone to the title.

Solid issue, but I hope that the ending delivers a good twist.
