Some thoughts about Grayson #5

Can a normal man survive the cross of the desert?

Dick along with Midnighter and Helena are currently lost in the middle of nowhere only with the baby they were fighting over and no hope to be found. Now, Dick will have to use all of his willpower to try to keep the child alive.

Holy crap, this is probably one of the best stories from this series.

Tim Seeley and Tom King create a pretty interesting stand-alone story where they focus on Dick, Helena and Midnighter and how each one of them is trying to survive in a enormous desert without knowing where to go.

The character work is really good with each member of the cast showing the kind of persons they are and demonstrating how strong as a protagonist Dick is. The outcome of this issue is pretty satisfying and quite heartwarming.

The main plot continues its path of course, I really like this kind of style in writing. Telling little compelling stories while still working on an overaching one.

Mikel Janin is in charge of the pencils and his art is not only beautiful but also tells the story perfectly by capturing each intense moment incredibly well.

Excellent issue, you definitely need to read this.
