The war is about to take even more lives.
Green Lantern will sacrifice the world for his lover. The Avatars don't know how to combat the forces of Apokolips. One of the Wonders of the world will have to make the ultimate sacrifice.
So. Many. Wrong. Things.
First of all, Alan Scott received his worst characterization yet. Alan was the kind of guy who didn't let the death of his lover, Sam, get the best of him in his fight against Grundy at the beginning since he knew that he was stronger than that and there were more important matters at hand and now he has sacrificed a lot of Earth 2 just to save his apparently resurrected boyfriend.
That's just enough to make me regret reading this but there's more.
The other segments focusing on the rest of the cast is pretty by the numbers since they're still losing and some of them are as useless as ever (Hello Val!).
However, the worst thing is that one of the original protagonists from the title has apparently died and that happened after he recently recovered from his absense. I truly hope that's not what really happened since it could easily make this the worst issue of the month.
The art is as predictable as usual and I don't even need to describe it at this point.
Frikking awful issue, avoid it if you want to have a happy end of the year.
