Some thoughts about Red Hood and the Outlaws #37

Arsenal will have to finally deal with his past with Green Arrow.

Roy is still recovering from his injuries while Ollie is watching for him and both will remember what made them fight but at the same time what made them friends on the first place.

Could it be? Did Scott Lobdell actually created the best dynamic between Oliver Queen and Roy Harper in the New 52?

I'm not kidding, this was amazing. I didn't really like the way James Tynion IV handled the relationship previously due that he made Ollie more unlikable than usual but Lobdell simply nailed it.

Ollie is portrayed as the usual flawed but full of personality guy who doesn't apologize to anyone and has a lot of presence in any place he enters. However, the best aspect is definitely the dynamic between Roy and him.

Lobdell explores what makes them so similar including the relationships with their respective parents while making each other stand on their own. The flashbacks are really well-done and at some points is even put in doubt if some scenes are real but they're still quite on-point.

Hell, I think the author defined completely each one of them with this simple line:

Roy: "The difference between you and me? I can always quit drinking, you're always going to be you".

That's so accurate that I can't believe it actually happened.

R.B. Silva is on art duties and he shows one of his best efforts here yet. Beautiful characters and lots of detail.

Favorite issue from this series, anyone interested in Green Arrow should check it out.
