Is the new superhero in town as good as it sounds?
Wonderstar has just arrived and he's decided to use his powers for good despite of Superman and Wonder Woman's skepticism. They might be right to act like that though since Wonderstar might not be who he think he is.
Well, I enjoyed this issue more than the last one, that's for sure.
Peter Tomasi brings a story where he focuses on the arrival of this new and naive superhero while he plays with the classic trope of him becoming evil. The story becomes pretty self-aware at points and it helps to make the issue much more entertaining.
The dynamic between Superman and Wonder Woman is pretty strong so far with both characters having good chemistry and finishing each other's lines satisfactorily. Is pretty obvious from the start that these two are a couple.
Oh, and I definitely didn't see that coming at the end.
Doug Mahnke's artwork is outstanding, he's able to depict every character beautifully and his storytelling skill are quite on-point.
Really good issue, good to see that this series is improving.
