The Blue and Gold are reborn in the 31st Century.
Blue Beetle and Booster Gold have been awakened after being in suspended animation for over a thousands years but there's a reason for that. Terry still wants to take revenge on the Justice League and he's willing to use any weapon he can get.
Yes! One of my most anticipated chapters is finally here!
Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis have a history with these particular characters, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, since their days of writing the Justice League International and fans of that era will be happy to know that the dynamic remains the same.
These are not really the old Blue and Gold from the pre-New 52 universe but apparently from one where Ted didn't die and obviously, Max Lord didn't killed him. The writers play with a lot of the previous ongoing jokes about these guys including all the crazy plans they used to have, the time when Ted became obese and even when Michael married an old woman for her money. It gives a great sense of nostalgia and history.
The humour is hilarious of course and fortunately the plot progresses as well.
Howard Porter is back on pencils and he shows one of his best efforts yet by creating a lot of evironments to explore and contributing a lot to the worldbuilding and creativity.
This is probably my favorite issue from this series yet. Highly recommended.
