Wonder Woman will have to help her worst enemy.
The Cheetah has been suffering since she received her curse but Diana knows there must be a way to save both of them.
The main plot suited in the present continues and it progresses nicely despite that I don't like some of the direction.
For one, Greg Rucka offers a new installment where he focuses on the relationship between Diana and The Cheetah and how there's a bigger history behind the two, a history that will most likely be explored in the Year One segment of the book. The dynamic is depicted with that mind so, despite that we don't know much about, there are a lot of hints about what happened between them. The Steve Trevor segment prove to be enjoyable enough.
The problem comes with The Cheetah's portrayal. Sometimes she seems a bit too weak of character complaining about her curse and quickly succumbing to her animal instincts. This is a personal preference but I would prefer a much more in control antagonist that still can represent what Diana does not and this still can work as an interesting dynamic. The current portrayal doesn't make me feel sympathy for her, all the contrary, it just doesn't make care about her.
Oh, and Cheetah's dialogue itself can become pretty annoying pretty quickly with all "Sssss" and the growls.
Liam Sharp is in charge of the art and is even better than previous offerings with stunning characters, greatly detailed environments and a wonderful style.
Not a badly written chapter but I wish some things would go differently.
