Nightwing is back in Gotham but things are not going to be easy.
Dick is once again having fun with his secret identity but he might be getting a bit too relaxed and it will be especially obvious once that he meets a person way stronger than him.
I can't believe how sexist this is. Can you believe the amount of butt shots that were shown in this issue?! Dick is being completely sexualized to the point that is just ridiculous.
And I'm loving every bit of it.
Now seriously, Tim Seeley brings a new chapter that seems like a huge love letter to Dick Grayson. The writer includes several key phrases and traits that are essential for the character and show exactly the kind of person he is. From his time as an acrobat to his superhero career to his connection to his loved ones, everything is being incorporated into the story in a way that is not intrusive and feels natural.
Oh, but that comes with a surprise at the end once that the Parliament of Owls' involvement becomes evident and the final pages contrast quite nicely with everything that happened during the issue at that point. I'm pretty interested in what's about to happen.
Javier Fernandez handles the artwork and is quite solid despite that his style is not particularly beautiful. The storytelling is pretty on-point being able to depict every scene nicely.
Immensily enjoyable, this is easily the best Batbook right now.
