Archie's clumsiness has gone too far this time.
A lot of people have their own opinions about Greg Collier but once that Veronica's father posts a video about him showing how bad of a teacher he can be, things are going to become worse for everyone.
This series never ceases to impress.
Mark Waid brings a new chapter where he focuses on how Archie tries to deal with the fact that one of their teachers is about to leave town after being continually harassed by people. If you think this issue is actually a commentary about current events then you would be right. The writer utilizes this premise to not only play with politics but also how a single person can create a wave of harassment to someone who actually doesn't deserve it.
The themes are perfectly executed and while they are pretty much in your face, they never become so blunt that they're obnoxious. In fact, the characterization remains one of the strongest points here by showing how each of the members of the cast react to these events and it was great to see how so many different opinions start clashing, there's no right or wrong side which makes the situation pretty realistic.
The fact that they made the teacher who suffers the harassment run for mayor allows to represent each ideology quite nicely and is hard to not see the similarities with real life people. Plus, it was good to see that the ongoing story is still progressing nicely.
Veronica Fish handles the artwork and is pretty appropriate for the book with an expressive and distinctive style that allows for great storytelling.
Rock solid issue, I wish most social commentary was like this.
Veronica didn't post a video; her father's campaign manager stole it from her. Good review.
