Some thoughts about Aquaman #3

Can Aquaman protect Atlantis and the surface world?

Things are getting even more tense for both civilizations after the recent attack but Arthur knows there must be a way to stop it. However, there are other concerns at hand since Black Manta has joined an organization to cause more damage.

WOW! So many things go right here.

Dan Abnett provides a new chapter where he continues his story by developing each plot-point he created nicely. Especially concerning the villains due that not only Black Manta continues to be portrayed correctly but also he reintroduces an old Aquaman villain like Black Jack along with the organization called N.E.R.O. This is pretty much what Jeff Parker promised during his run but never quite accomplished, bringing back old characters and creating new ones.

The dynamic between Arthur and Mera is still pretty enjoyable and makes you invested in their relationship. There's also good plot-progression since the politics between Atlantis and the rest of the world continue to be a relevant aspect which is executed quite well. The final page also promises interesting events coming.

Philippe Brionnes handles the artwork and is solid with attractive characters and a clear storytelling.

Immensily entertaining. Hope it continues this way in the long run.
