Deathstroke's last stand is here.
Ra's Al Ghul is prepared to unleash his final attack with all of Slade's enemies at his side. How will Deathstroke and his family survive.
Yeah, for a last stand this was pretty by the numbers.
James Bonny delivers the final chapter of this particular volume but does it in the usual derivative and unimpressive way. The characterization for Slade continues to be pretty stupid due that he still tries to say one-liners that are neither intelligent or funny, he's pretty much the same fratboy from issue 1, there's no character growth.
The antagonists continue to be underdeveloped and weak in terms of personality, they're not really distinctive aside from some of their abilities and their only motivation is that they're evil which makes you care very little for them.
And the final pages are not really satisfying since Slade is getting old once again without any explanation whatsoever, pretty much preparing him for the new series. To be fair though, at least there was a kinda logical end for him and his children I guess.
Paolo Pantalena handles the artwork and his style is fitting for this kind of story with a vibrant tone which is especially good for fight scenes.
Other than that, you are not missing anything here. I wish that Christopher Priest explains that Slade's personality in this volume was because the thing that made him young also affected his brain.
