Who is Harley Quinn?
Harley has been trapped in a viscious cycle from where she can't escape no matter the people who try to help her.
Okay, this is the official conclusion of this volume and is handled by the man who made it so dull in the first place, Sean Ryan, how does it fare?
Surprisingly solid actually aside from some problems.
The story is focused on Harley as you would imagine while exploring how her head works and this is one of the most interesting aspects of it due to the amount of interesting hallucinations as well as the revelations about her past and how that connects her to the inevitable encounter with the Joker. The writing works nicely by not being blunt and letting the reader take his own conclusions about the different scenes. As far as character exploration goes, this was pretty successful.
The thing is that this is something that Harley already overcome a while ago which makes the exploration kinda redudant, is still a well-told story but one that doesn't offer anything new in terms of progression and while the ending is appropriate for the story, is not appropriate for the character nor book as a whole.
Ronan Cliquet handles the artwork and is pretty appealing, the different scenes and layouts are interestingly depicted, the storytelling is quite on-point.
Nitpicks aside, I would say that this is some of the best work from Ryan in this book and is shame that it came just at the end.
