Some thoughts about Loki: Agent of Asgard #1

The God of Mischief has been reborn, can he fight against his own nature?

After being recreated on a new, youthful being, Loki is willing to use his abilities in different and less threatening ways. His first mission? Invade Avengers' Tower and try to impale his brother Thor... What?

"You're sure this is Loki? He looks kind of... One Direction-y"

And with that phrase Al Ewing, you sold me on this series.

Speaking as someone who truly enjoyed Kieron Gillen's work on the character, I'm happy to say that Elwing has done an excellent job at replicating the voice and style previously established. The initial premise is a pretty strong one and it presents a lot of surprising and hilarious moments, my personal favorites being when Loki is playing with the heads of the different members of the Avengers. Is just a really well executed story.

Lee Garbett is on art duties and he's actually well suited for this series. His work is pretty expressive and is able to portray the humourous and action moments splendidly.

Pretty promising first issue, I would say that Loki is in good hands.
