Some thoughts about Justice League Dark #28

Constantine and Zatanna have fallen in the hands of Nick Necro, will they be able to survive the consequences?

The rest of the Justice League Dark is trying to find their lost teammates that are currently being used in Project Thaumaton while Nick Necro is trying to show some signs of humanity towards his victims but are they true?

This is the penultimate issue of this series before this crossover ends and despite that I've been enjoying the character work and concepts that J.M. DeMatteis has been using, I think the whole Blight storyline has lasted a bit too long.

The characterization is strong as usual though. DeMatteis focuses this time in the relationship between Constantine, Zatanna and Nick Necro and explores the bonds that they had in a pretty different way from their past appearances. I have to give props to the writer for finally giving Necro some depth.

Dan Jurgens is in charge of the breakdowns while Vicente Cifuentes finishes the artwork and it's quite consistent at least. Unfortunately is not as good as when Mikel Janin was drawing the title.

Again, this was a solid issue but I can't wait until we get some new stories.
