Some thoughts about Worlds' Finest #20

The World's Finest of two earths are ready to team-up but not in the way you may expect.

After suffering from the same problems as Power Girl, Superman will have to depend enterily on the Huntress while Batman will have to find a way to cooperate with an arrogant Power Girl if they want to end the menace of Gamorra.

The second chapter of the "First Contact" crossover and you may be surprised to find that this is not only a solid issue from this storyline but a pretty decent issue by itself.

This could be due that Greg Pak is contributing to Paul Levitz series this time (In fact, I have no doubts that's the reason), but this is one of the best and densest stories that I have seen in this series since ever. The interaction between Huntress/Superman and Power Girl/Batman is depicted excellently and we see different aspects of their personalities, it's a pretty good character focused issue.

But more impressive, the plot actually moves! Something I couldn't said about the past issues of Worlds' Finest.

Scott McDaniel handles the breakdowns while R.B. Silva is in charge of finishing the art and their work has been one of the best parts of this book for a while. It's all pretty expressive and kinetic.

Yes, there's no "Worlds' Blandest" title this time because I actually enjoyed it!
