Some thoughts about Justice League of America #12

In the middle of all the destruction, Martian Manhunter and Stargirl are still trying to save the world as well as themselves.

Despero's attack is relentless and not even J'onn's abilities are enough to stop him. Meanwhile, Courtney continues to try to save her family along with the rest of the surviving people but will that be enough? Someone else is lurking in the shadows.

Matt Kindt continues his arc focusing in both Martian Manhunter and Stargirl in Forever Evil and while he keeps doing a good work at exploring both characters and the relationship between the two, one can help but think that this storyline is too long already. I know is not Kindt's fault since he has to follow what is happening in the main event but I wish we would get some resolution already.

Still, what we got here in terms of characterization is pretty good both protagonists are treated with great respect and dedication and you can feel the desperation in both of them while they fight against the impossible threats.

This time we have three artists working on this issue: Eddy Barrows, Tom Derenick and R.B. Silva and while all of them do a good job at their segments, the issue could be helped by a single and consistent penciller.

Solid issue but we better start getting some interesting plot elements soon.
