Some thoughts about The Movement #9

Coral City is about to receive the visit of the Bat.

Batgirl is on the search of a metahuman with abilities that are too dangerous for him to handle and by doing so she will encounter the group that is currently protecting Coral City. The clash between both ideologies can't end well.

Once again Gail Simone delivers a pretty entertaining issue. By focusing on the bigger cast Simone is able to play with the team dynamic creating some pretty hilarious and enjoyable moments like the romance between Mouse and Tremor and the rest of The Movement trying to get them together. Not only that but the interaction between Batgirl and the group is quite well displayed including some little details like the connection between Vengeance Moth and Barbara.

Freddie Williams II deserves props as usual for his always consistent artwork. He continues to create really creative scenes with pretty attractive characters, I really liked his depiction of Batgirl and even Mouse looked pretty handsome on a suit. It's amazing how he's able to deliver such great work each month.

Excellent issue from this highly underrated series. Favorite book written by Gail Simone currently.
