Some thoughts about Swamp Thing #3

An old friend might have the solution that Swamp Thing has been looking for.

Matt Cable is back and he believes he can help Alec to finally find some peace but to do so, there might have to be some sacrifices.

This series continues and despite that I'm still not impressed by it, I found this to be the best installment so far.

Len Wein offers a new chapter where he makes a classic character from the series, Matt Cable, return to Alec Holland's life and it was done in a pretty simple way. Wein managed to hint at Matt's past without going in full detail about what has been happening in his life which works for the better considering how complicated it was. Zatanna also received a nice portrayal and is good that her friendship with Alec was referenced.

The story progresses satisfactorily. Despite that this issue is mostly devoted to Alec and Matt, there's still the ongoing plot with the zombie monster from the last couple of issues going one. The final page is also pretty intriguing.

Kelley Jones still delivers a fitting work in art duties with monstruos characters looking especially impressive with a dark atmosphere.

Solid I would say. Hope that the next one brings an interesting development.
