Some thoughts about Justice League 3001 #10

The death of the Justice League is near.

The Legion of Doom has been formed and they plan to attack the team. They're not the only ones though since their old enemies are also coming back for them.

Okay, some things work, others don't.

For one, I still like the sense of humour and characterization that Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis bring to the table. You know a lot about the characters based on their interactions and their relationships become a lot stronger thanks to them. We also see some fan-favorite characters like G'Nort and Larfleeze introduced to the title which makes sense considering the creative team's history with the characters.

However, the plot is not really progressing. At this point I would like to see all the promising conflicts that were teased like their fight against Beetle and Booster's Justice League, the Injustice League and now the Legion of Doom. It seems like the main story is dragging.

Scott Kolins handles the artwork for the main section and is improving to be fair with more refined character models and interesting layouts. Is not perfect yet though.

There's a second story focusing on Lois and Ariel which is much more entertaining admitedly, mostly thanks to the surprising appearance of Sinestro as a stripper.

Colleen Doran is in charge of the art here and is pretty solid with decent looking characters.

Overall, I hope things start progressing considering we're close to the end.
