Some thoughts about Sinestro #21

The Sinestro Corps have saved the Earth and people are finally appreciating them.

Soranik has been chosen as the new leader of the Sinestro Corps and she's ready to make the group into the kind of heroes they should be. However, this might have been her father's plans all along.

Holy crap, this was awesome!

Cullen Bunn brings an epilogue to the last big event he created in this series by focusing on Soranik and how she's planning to use the Sinestro Corps to deliver order in the universe. The character work is the most significant aspect here and the writer manages to include it in spades in this chapter.

The way how the people from Earth react to the Sinestro Corps' help was pretty interesting consider their own nature. Heroes like Superman and Wonder Woman have some interesting responses too (and even an unexpected hint to Diana's bisexuality). Villains like Harley Quinn, Deathstroke and Scarecrow have little but enjoyable scenes. The development between Arkillo and Saint Walker's friendship is compelling and pretty promising for the future. Finally, the new status quo concerning Soranik is already quite intriguing and exciting.

Martin Coccolo is in charge of the pencils and he's able to create good looking and expressive characters with solid effects.

This is easily the best thing that Bunn has written for DC. Is nice to know that the guy can write good stuff.
