Some thoughts about Batman/Superman #30

Superman will have to fight against beings as powerful as him and Batman will need to use all of his skills to help him.

A Daxamite has been asked to help hunt Clark and Bruce believes that the only way to defeat their enemies is putting his life at risk. To achieve their mission both will need to cooperate more than ever.

I'm frankly impressed here.

Tom Taylor delivers the final chapter of his little story about these characters by revealing more about the motivations behind his enemies. The villains themselves are not particularly interesting but the best moments come from the interaction between Superman and Batman. Taylor gets the dynamic perfectly once again by using their particular skills in interesting ways that are still true to their core.

The way how they defeat the villains is something that we have seen in the past I believe but still, such segments are perfectly executed and explore their characterization. There's also a pretty emotional moment at the end where both help one of their enemies to find some peace.

Robson Rocha handles the artwork and his style is pretty good with expressive characters and strong storytelling that depict the best scenes nicely.

This is probably the best story from this title. I wish Taylor would continue writing it.
