Some thoughts about Martian Manhunter #10

The truth about J'onn J'onzz is finally revealed.

Several years ago there was a terrible monster attacking Mars and they needed to everything in their power to stop him, even create their own monster.

Welp, this is Rob Williams' Martian Manhunter pretty much.

The writer finally delivers the true origin of J'onn and is actually an interesting one, focusing on the classic take of him as a family man but creating a few twists to make it unique and connect it to the story. I don't think this makes a lot of sense considering that Matt Kindt already created an origin in the backup stories in the last Justice League of America series but it doesn't particularly contradict it.

On the other hand, the dialogue is still pretentious as hell with the characters talking in awkward ways to try seem different and their reactions can also pretty weird and off. I think this could be a pretty good story if the writing didn't try so hard to sound unique.

Eddy Barrows is in charge of the art and his work is pretty solid with expressive characters and an interesting and creepy atmosphere.

Some things to like, some things to dislike. Still the same thing.
