Some thoughts about Midnighter #9

Midnighter's fight might be over.

By trying to hunt a dangerous man, Midnighter will need to face both Spyral and the Suicide Squad and both have their own kind of metahumans to stop him.

Once again, this was pretty enjoyable.

Steve Orlando continues to explore the world of the protagonist by introducing some characters from the old Wildstorm line where Midnighter originated, including one that was one of the most important from their history and fans of the imprint should be excited about what this means.

The action scenes work really due to how the abilities of everyone here are depicted and the antagonists contrast nicely with the main character's skills which deliver entertaining battles. The character moments are also engaging due that expand Midnighter's relationships.

ACO and Hugo Petrus share the pencils here and they maintain a pretty consistent look during the course of the issue with pretty interesting layouts with strong storytelling.

Quite solid issue, intrigued to see how this story unfolds.
