The journey is finally over.
Batman and the Joker are about to die due to the disease they were infected with and the only way they can stop it is by defeating the culprit.
The conclusion of this miniseries is here and I would say that my feelings about it are the same as the rest of it.
Brian Azzarello and Matteo Casali bring the last chapter of their story by taking the protagonists to Rome where they need to face the person who has been manipulating them all this time. I must say that the reveal of the villain was surprising enough all things considered and the best part is that it actually gave the Joker a humbling moment after being ridiculously overpowered in recent years.
The dynamic between Batman and the Joker is still enjoyable and the ending is pretty much what you would expect. The plot itself has been barebones since issue 1 though, with a story that is pretty much nonexistant and just serves as an excuse to make these characters interact.
Giuseppe Camuncoli and Gerald Parel handle the artwork and is attractive enough although a bit too blurry for my taste.
An okay ending for an okay series, not one of the best but not the worst at the same time.
