Some thoughts about Grayson #17

The agents of Spyral are going against Dick Grayson now.

Dick has been trying to escape from the organization he helped and now they're forced to use some of the most skilled agents in the world. How can a man face people like Frankenstein, Grifter and Max Lord?

Once again, this series simply fails to disappoint.

Tim Seeley and Tom King continue their story by not giving Dick any time to rest and is incredible how entertaining the series is despite of being in this direction for a while. One of the reasons for the success is that the writers continue to explore different themes and ideas that complement the protagonist perfectly.

This issue is no different since by putting him against beings like Frankenstein and Grifter, the writers manage to speak a lot of them and how Dick is so perceptive that is able to read them clearly. They're really well-executed segments that allow for a lot of exploration of character.

Plus, the worldbuilding is really good due to the reintroduction of several members of different organization which also progresses the plot in a logical direction.

Carmine Di Giandomenico handles the artwork and is solid at telling the story, is not particularly beautiful but I think it captures the ideas nicely.

Enjoyable issue. I hope this creative team continues through this route after Rebirth.
