Wolverine is about to battle the Hulk once again but is not going to be the kind of Hulk he was expecting.
Logan is still remembering his past and how he regrets that he never fought against Banner at the right time. Now that he's in the past though, he thinks he can correct all of his mistakes not knowing that this is a different world with different people.
What can I say? This is just wonderful.
Jeff Lemire brings a new chapter of this story by exploring a bit more of Logan's past and how he reacted to the whole Hulk threat before its end. Everything seems in character and reveals interesting moments that continues to develope his characterization.
The fight against the Hulk is quite good and exciting too considering Logan's history with him. The way how the battle is handled makes a lot of sense considering who these characters are especifically. Every portrayal is on point here.
Plus, this is also connected to yet another story that Lemire is writing right now.
Andrea Sorrentino is in charge of the pencils here and is great. Every scene, every layout delivers a great moment of storytelling with a strong sense of scale and style. The fight between Logan and the Hulk is especially impressive in terms of scope.
Excellent issue, hope the next one arrives soon.
