Some thoughts about Justice League #48

Gods are going to die and others are going to be born.

The Justice League has been forced to collaborate with the Crime Syndicate to try to stop Mobius but not even their combined forces might be enough and if they want to save everyone they will need the help of even more people.

I'm impressed that this event still fails to disappoint me.

Geoff Johns brings a new chapter of the biggest story of the DCU right now by focusing on several of the plot-points that he has been creating during his tenure in this title. The plannification is great from the inclusion of the Crime Syndicate who finally have a time to shine after their defeat in Forever Evil to the inevitable return of Volthoom and Grid, etc. Everything seems to have been prepared from the beginning and is pretty nice to see finally these plans being fulfilled.

Not only that but there are several surprises that Johns manages to include in this issue. One of the characters that he gave more relevance during his run is apparently going to become more important. If you add the nice character and funny moments you get a pretty satisfying read.

And Jason Fabok, my God, he totally killed it in this chapter. The art is perfectly epic in terms of scale by representing every member of the cast and action scene in a grandiose and beautiful way.

Excellent installment. One of the best actually.
