Some thoughts about Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #49

The Lost Light continues to suffer the attacks of their enemies.

Skids is still trying to recover his lost memories while at the same time trying to save Rung from an old colleague. Now, if they all want to survive this they will need the help of the most powerful person among them.

Some things really worked here, others not so much.

James Roberts continues his story immediately after the events of the last chapter with the Lost Light facing Sunder. In fact, the story is divided in two sections, the battle against Sunder and the flashback about Skids' past. Both sections manage to progress the plot in an adequate way while showing interesting plot-points that will certainly play a relevant role in the future.

The character work is solid with many of the cast having good scenes and development considering what has been happening in the most recent chapters. No complaints there.

HOWEVER, I have been noting a pattern here. The antagonists are getting a bit too easily defeated lately. The creatures from the Vis Vitalis, Getaway, Sunder, they seem like big enough threats at first just to get beaten in a quite quick and unsatisfying way. I wish these conflicts would be better developed.

Hayato Sakamoto handles the artwork is pretty good looking with expressive characters and cartoony style that certainly fits the title.

Not bad overall but some aspects need to be improved.
