Some thoughts about All-New X-Men #5

The X-Men are about to suffer big losses.

A powerful man is defeating almost every member from the team and if they want to face him they will have to settle their differences first.

Once again, this series keeps improving consistently.

Dennis Hopeless continues his work by presenting a chapter that still mostly focuses on character work but is really well-executed in that regard. From the conversations between Laura and Warren about their relationship, to the dynamic between Kid Apocalypse and Bobby about the latter's sexuality, everything is really nicely done and makes you invested in their future.

If I had one complaint though, aside from the typical one that is that the plot barely progresses, is that we have yet another person who blames how she has been treated to God which is such a cliche at this point that is pretty tiring and I wish that at least someone would go for a different route about it.

Mark Bagley continues to handle the art and is still pretty solid with nice character models and strong action scenes.

Enjoyable overall, hoping that it gets even better.
