The world needs Batman once again.
The people from Kandor have been released and they're ready to cause terror around the world until their demands are satisfied and is up to the heroes in the world to stop them.
Well, some parts of this worked and others not so much.
For one, I really liked the main segment this time. Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello bring a new chapter where they show how Bruce deals with the current threat and how the group of Kryptonians want to be recognized as for the rest of the planet. The scenes are well-executed for the most part and is especially great when it comes to a particular scene where Batman finally appears in front of them, really well-done. The classic media segments are also enjoyable.
The art is handled by Andy Kubert here and he does a pretty good job at recreating a lot of the moments from the script and he definitely takes inspiration from Miller's own style.
The second section is focused on Hal Jordan and how he uses his powers against another group of Kryptonians. I don't think this worked so well because the character was incompetent for the most part but hopefully they will fix that in the next chapter.
John Romita Jr. is in charge of the layouts while Miller himself finishes the job and is quite reminiscent of the latter's work although not really polished.
Solid I would say, hope that the next one is more balanced in terms of stories though.
